Hi. I'm Jeff—an art educator for nearly two decades who recently blew up the way he teaches.

After 19 years in the classroom, I realized the way I was teaching drawing wasn't actually helping students learn to draw. So I scrapped it. Rewrote the curriculum from scratch. Pulled in methods from classical atelier training—Bargue plates, sight-size drawing, value sequences—and rebuilt everything around fundamentals. That decision changed my teaching. It's also changing my own practice.

This site is where I document both.
